Korede Bello was born on February 29, 1996, in Lagos State, Nigeria, to middle-class Nigerian parents. He was the second child in the family and grew up with an elder brother and a younger sister. His younger sister, Jasmine Bello, was also interested in music and followed in the footsteps of her elder brother. Both of Korede’s parents were passionate music fans, and both followed two widely distinct kinds of music. This gave a youthful Korede access to a broad assortment of music. While his mother was fond of foreign songs, his dad was more inclined toward native African music. His was an ardent Christian family, which led Korede to become accustomed to listening to gospel music every now and then. This helped shape his career in the future.

He changed his name back from”African Prince” into”Korede Bello” when Don advised him to do so.

He signed the deal with Marvin Records’ on February 28, 2014, and soon released his tune’ African Princess.’ The tune was highly loved by his fans and gained over half a million”views” on youtube.’ It had been his solo offering, and its success brought him fame. Korede’s next official song, Doro Bucci,’ was a collaborative work with the other team members from the Mavins.’ The song was released in May 2014 and got exceptionally positive reviews from both critics and listeners. In January 2015, Korede’s life turned around completely. His breakthrough solo tune,’Godwin,’ was released under’Mavin Records.’ While Korede himself handled the lyrics, the production, and the primary vocals, Don was invited to offer background vocals to the song. The tune had gospel-like sounds blended with contemporary pop sounds. The lyrics spoke about how Korede was a spiritual man and attributed all his success to God.
