Golshifteh Farahani Biography

Rahavard Farahani was given the name Golshifteh Farahani when she was born on July 10, 1983, in Tehran. She is the daughter of Fahimeh Rahimnia and Behzad Farahani, who is also a theatre director and actress in addition to being a performer on stage.

During her childhood, she attended a music school, and she went on to earn a degree from the Azad University of Iran. Farahani appeared naked in the French magazine ‘Madame Figaro,’ which resulted in her being detained in her home country of Iran, where she was arrested.
