When Terry Alan Crews was born on July 30, 1968, he was born in Flint, Michigan, the son of Patricia Crews and Terry Crews, Sr. Having an alcoholic father, his mother raised him in a conservative Christian household.

He graduated from Flint Southwestern High School, where he was a student. In addition to receiving a scholarship from the ‘Chrysler Corporation,’ he went on to attend the Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan.
