Stokeley Clevon Goulbourne, better known as Ski Mask, was born in Broward County, Florida, on April 18, 1996. Jamaican and Afro-American heritage is important to him. He had a difficult upbringing because his mother was beset by personal issues of her own, and he had no father figure to lean on.

His family had to move around a lot when he was a kid. He grew up in Brooklyn, Atlanta, and New Jersey, where he attended high school. Fifty Cent and Logic were two of his all-time favorite rappers as a child.
