Mark Andrews “Sisqó” was born on November 9, 1978, in Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America. Alonzo Andrews, Mark’s father and an electrician at the ‘PSINet Stadium,’ was originally dismissive of Mark and his music profession but later became his biggest admirer following his success.

He owes a great deal to his parents, particularly to his social security worker mother Carolyn Andrews, who urged him to follow his heart. He is also assisted by his sister, Donisha Andrews. According to his grandmother, he began singing when he was about two years old and joined the church’s ‘Young Adult Choir’ at the age of seven.

He worked at ‘The Fudgery’ in high school alongside his friends Woody, Nokia, and Jazz. They began their careers singing gospel music and created ‘Dru Hill’ in 1992.
