Michael J. Fox was born on 9 June 1961 in Edmonton, Canada. His age is 60 years old. At the time of his birth, Michael Andrew Fox was the son of a police officer and Canadian Forces member named William Fox, and a former actress and payroll clerk named Phyllis. He was the fourth child in a large family with a brother and three sisters.
In 1971, after his father’s retirement from the army, the family finally settled in Burnaby, British Columbia (Vancouver), after moving from city to city due to his father’s military career.
Despite his passion for the game since he was a kid, his diminutive stature was preventing him from breaking into the NHL. As he got older, he developed a taste for painting, music (he learned to play the guitar), and acting.

As a 15-year-old, Michael Andrew Fox auditioned for a Canadian television series called ‘Leo and Me’, which was produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
He also got the part. For the following three years, he continued to appear in local theatre and sitcoms, as well as American film productions in Canada.
He moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 to pursue a career in acting, where he landed his first major role as Alex P.Keaton in NBC’s popular television series ‘Family Ties’ (1982-1989).
