Jane Badler is a well-known actress and singer in the United States of America. She rose to prominence on NBC’s science fiction series V as Diana, the show’s major antagonist from 1983 until 1985. Badler was up in Brooklyn, New York, the son of an actor and a writer. Her ancestors were devout Jews. During her teenage years, Badler lived in Great Neck, New York before graduating high school and moving to Manchester, New Hampshire.

Badler has crowned Miss New Hampshire and went on to compete in the Miss America Pageant of 1973. She placed second. Later, she enrolled in Northwestern University’s drama program in Evanston, Illinois.

When Badler was 18, a plane tragedy claimed the lives of her father and brother. In 1990, Badler tied the knot with Australian entrepreneur Stephen Hains. They got to know each other while she was in Australia filming Mission Impossible.

Badler chose to remain in Australia, where he and his wife now call Melbourne home. Harry Hains, 27, died of a fentanyl overdose after a battle with “mental illness, chronic sleeping difficulties, and addiction,” Badler stated on January 7, 2020.

From 1981 to 1982, Badler played Natalie Bell in the daytime drama The Doctors. After that, Badler was cast as the evil alien Diana in the NBC science fiction drama V, where she became a star (1983).

She relocated permanently to Australia after the show concluded and married Australian businessman Stephen Hains. Sam and Harry, their sons, are the couple’s only children. From 1992 to 1993, she appeared on Australia’s Cluedo and had a cameo appearance in Snowy River: The McGregor Saga. In the Australian soap drama Neighbours, Badler played the wicked Diana Marshall.

The show had a guest contract with her for four months. Although Diana was absent from the 2009 remake of V, the series’ executive producer, Scott Peters, hinted that Badler and other original cast members would be offered guest appearances as new characters in the series’ future.

According to reports, Badler would be playing Diana, the mother of the Visitors’ villainous leader Anna, when the show premiered in August of that year (Morena Baccarin).

She made an appearance in all but one episode of season two, which began airing in January 2011. After her character was slain by Anna in the season two finale, ABC decided not to continue the show for a third.
