On July 7, 1988, in the city of Westminster, London, England, he was born Jack Peter Benedict Whitehall to Hilary Amanda Jane Whitehall and Michael John Whitehall. His mother was an actress who used the stage name “Hilary Gish” at one point. His father was a television producer and agent for a number of well-known actors, including Judi Dench and Richard Griffiths.

He is the eldest sibling. He is the younger brother of Molly Louisa and Barnaby William. He began his education at East Sheen’s ‘Tower House School’ and afterward attended Oxford’s ‘Dragon School.’ He eventually enrolled at Wiltshire’s ‘Marlborough College’ and attended the ‘University of Manchester to study art history.
