After graduating with honors in science, she went on to acquire an MBA with a concentration in marketing. She is a trained dancer who also sings and paints in addition to her other talents. Her father, Bhaskar Maity, is a former Indian footballer who competed in the Asian Games in 1979 for his country.
Her mother is a stay-at-home mom, and she has a younger brother as well. Iris was named the winner of getting Gorgeous 2008. Get Gorgeous is the launching pad for budding models from all around India, according to Channel V India.
