In 1985, Francisco Muniz III was born in the New Jersey town of Wood-Ridge to Denise and Francisco Muniz III, a nurse, and a restaurateur, respectively.

Mr. Muniz’s mother is half Irish and half Italian, whereas his father is of Puerto Rican descent. Cristina, his older sister, is his closest confidante. After moving to Knightdale, North Carolina, when Muniz was four years old, he spent the rest of his childhood there.

In 2007, he was discovered at the age of eight while performing as Tiny Tim in a local production of A Christmas Carol in Raleigh, North Carolina, as part of a talent show.

Shortly after, his parents separated, and he later relocated with his mother to the city of Burbank in Southern California. His mother began homeschooling him in the sixth grade and continued until the end of the year.

Muniz was engaged to Jamie Grady in 2005, and the couple had a child. After meeting a mutual personal trainer at a Los Angeles gym in 2008, he met publicist Elycia Marie Turnbow the following year. They began dating and later relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona, to be closer to each other.
