Thebe Neruda Kgositsile was born in Chicago, Illinois, on February 24, 1994. He was born to poet and political activist Keorapetse Kgositsile and Cheryl Harris, a law professor at the ‘University of California, Los Angeles.’ When Thebe was just eight years old, his parents divorced. His father passed away in 2018 after a brief illness.
