Does World Market Accept EBT?

Although some World Market locations accept EBT, this is not always the case. A small percentage of them do indeed take EBT, but that’s not all.

Can I use EBT at World Market?

EBT is accepted at some World Market locations. We called several different businesses around the United States, and 35% of them confirmed they took EBT.

The SNAP program is administered by the USDA of the United States government. To accept EBT/SNAP cards, World Market must meet the following requirements by the United States Department of Agriculture.

  • Certain minimum quantities and varieties of pantry staples are required in stock.
  • More than half of its revenue needs to come from basic food items.

Compared to grocery stores, World Markets typically have a wider selection of household goods and pantry staples. Still, some places can accommodate these needs.

Get in touch with your neighborhood World Market to learn if they accept the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Alternatively, you can use the USDA’s SNAP store finder. Keep in mind that a store’s status may shift at any time. In the future, maybe the shop down the street will take EBT.
