Sasha was born on the 17th of May 1973 in Los Angeles, California, the United States of America.  Her extended family includes Italian nationals. She went to the ‘University of Southern California’s ‘School of Cinema-Television.’ Sasha suffered a serious knee injury as a child. She had to put her ice-skating on hold after the incident. Sasha Pecel was formerly married to filmmaker Luka Pecel for a short period of time.

On the 18th of September, 1999, the pair exchanged vows. The marriage was, however, declared null and void in 2003. Their family was empty because they didn’t have any children of their own. She married director Edoardo Ponti, the son of actress Sophia Loren, for the second time.

On the 11th of August, 2007, the couple exchanged vows. They gave birth to a girl in 2006, and a son in 2010: Lucia and Leonardo.

In sixth grade, she made her acting debut. During her teenage years, she joined the popular pop music group “Everything Nice,” where she played keyboards. While in high school and college, she kept up her performing career. Once in New York City, her career took off when she began performing in summer stock theatre and in the city’s “Shakespeare Festivals.”

In 2001, she made a cameo appearance as ‘District Attorney Robin Childs’ in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation titled ‘Alter Boys.’ Additionally, in the same year, she appeared on “Friends” as “Shelley,” an investigative reporter who spoke with “Joey” for an episode titled “The One with Joey’s Interview.” In addition to ‘All Over the Guy,’ she played ‘Jackie Samantha Gold’ in that year’s romantic comedy.

For seven seasons, she played this role. Sasha joined the cast of ‘Shameless,’ which premiered on HBO in 2015. She played ‘Helene Runyon’ in the show.

In 2016, Sasha appeared on two different television projects, including the show “Dinner at Tiffani’s” and the game show “Celebrity Name Game.” She was most recently seen as ‘Anna Mill’ in a 2018 episode of ‘Law & Order: SVU.’
