He attended Beverley High School despite having little interest in studies. Later, he enrolled in the University of California, but only lasted one semester.

She is the mother of Prince Alexander von Furstenberg and Princess Tatiana von Furstenberg, and the former wife of German Prince Egon von Furstenberg. Barry Diller began his career as an assistant at the William Morris Agency, a Hollywood-based talent agency. Soon after, he was promoted to full-fledged talent agent, with responsibility for broadcasting rights to feature films. He ultimately rose to the position of vice president of the company. He pioneered and popularised the concepts of TV movies and TV miniseries during this time.

He joined Paramount Pictures Corporation, one of the most well-known Hollywood film companies, after a successful career with the William Morris Agency. For 10 years, he was the chairman and CEO of the company. The studio produced several popular TV shows and movies during his tenure, including “Taxi” (1978), “Grease” (1978), “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981), “Cheers” (1982), and “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” (1984).

He was the Chairman and CEO of Fox Inc., the parent company of Fox Network and 20th Century Fox, from October 1984. He was also a co-founder of the Fox Network and helped popularise a number of television series. He left the firm in 1992 and paid $25 million for a share in the QVC teleshopping network. He was unsuccessful in his efforts to buy both Paramount Communications and CBS. He resigned from QVC in 1995 as well.
